Eversheds works on Dimension Data bid

Eversheds is advising IT infrastructure outfit Dimension Data in its £2.1bn proposed takeover by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTTC).

The Eversheds team is being led by head of public M&A Stephen Nash, ­assisted by corporate partner Robert Pitcher, senior associate Simon Wood, associate Mark Roe and assistant Michael Dennison. Partner Danny Blum is advising on share incentives schemes.

Linklaters corporate finance partner Shane ­Griffin is leading the team advising Japanese telecoms company NTTC, the country’s largest telecoms provider. The team also includes Tokyo-based partners Hideo Norikoshi and Chris Bradley, London-based partners Eamonn Doran and Tom Shropshire, and New York partner Tom McGrath.

Eversheds has worked with Dimension Data for several years and advised the company in its purchase of the majority of shares in Datacraft Asia in 2008.

Nash said: “We have a lot of experience in bids but this was one of the biggest.”

Dimension Data, which has its primary listing on the London Stock Exchange and a secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, specialises in the provision and management of IT infrastructures.
