Eversheds has recruited a new funds partner for its London financial services practice.
Mark Brady joins the firm from the London office of Washington DC firm Crowell & Moring, where he was head of the funds group.
Brady specialises in hedge funds, although his experience also covers other fund work, including property and private equity funds. He has also been involved in M&A in the funds and financial services sector and investment in emerging markets. He joins a team of seven partners and 18 other lawyers.
Brady said: "With the likelihood of increased scrutiny from the regulators, more consolidation in the sector and greater EU influence on hedge funds activities, I believe the move to Eversheds puts me in the best position to help clients face these challenges."
Pamela Thompson, head of financial services, added: "[Brady's] arrival reflects the growth of our financial services practice over the past 12 months and our commitment to the fund management industry."
