Eversheds suffers triple partner loss

Eversheds has lost highly-rated insolvency partner Jeffrey Drew to Pinsents and a residential property partner to Gateley Wareing.
Drew, who is on gardening leave until September, is expected to join Pinsents’ Birmingham office. Eversheds wanted Drew to spend more time in London, building its City insolvency practice, but he was keen to return to the Birmingham market.
Residential property partner Callum Nuttall has quit for Birmingham’s Gateley Wareing. Gateley Wareing’s senior partner Michael Ward said: “Callum is acknowledged as a leader in his field and we’re delighted that he’s chosen to join.”
Newcastle-based litigation partner Lucy Winskell has also resigned in order to take a career break.
Earlier this year, intellectual property partner Alex Shields and banking consultant David Wilson left the Newcastle office. It is understood that Shields has not yet secured a position but Wilson has joined Watson Burton.
