Eversheds has added a partner to its Hong Kong office with the hire of Mayer Brown consultant Kingsley Ong.
Ong will be responsible for building a structured finance and derivatives practice in Hong Kong.
He joined Mayer Brown’s London office in 2004 from Clifford Chance and relocated to Hong Kong in 2007. Clients at Mayer Brown include the liquidators of Lehman Brothers (Hong Kong).
Eversheds’ Hong Kong managing partner Nick Seddon said the new structured finance and derivatives group would complement the firm’s existing capabilities in Asia.
