Eversheds advised the Polish government on its winning pitch to co-host the Uefa 2012 European Football Championship.
The tournament is the second-largest football tournament in the world and the win will result in a €4bn (£2.72bn) regeneration project in Poland. Poland and Ukraine defeated Italy's bid and a joint bid from Hungary and Croatia to secure the championships.
Eversheds was appointed to advise the Polish government last year. Managing partner at Polish tie-up Wierzbowski Eversheds, Krzysztof Wierzbowski, led the team in Poland, with projects and commercial support from London, led by partners Neil Logan Green, Jonathan Cripps and Rebecca Carter.
Wierzbowski said: "The expertise provided by the team in London was crucial to win this. At a time when everybody is celebrating, knowing that we belong to a small group of enthusiasts who believed in it from the very outset, gives us more reason to be satisfied."
