Eversheds reveals 100 per cent retention rate

Eversheds has posted a 100 per cent newly qualified (NQ) retention rate for its spring 2012 intake.

The firm is the second top 20 firm to reveal it is keeping all of its qualifying trainees, holding onto all seven (18 January 2012).

This is a boost from its summer 2011 qualifying round, with the firm posting 87 per cent retention rate in September, keeping 33 out of 38 of its trainees.

The news follows Simmons & Simmons revealing a 25 per cent retention rate for March 2012, keeping only 2 out of an eight-strong cohort (17 February 2012).

The remaining top 20 firms with a spring qualification round posted above 70 per cent retention rates.

The only UK top 20 firm still to reveal its March 2012 retention rates is Slaughter and May.
