Eversheds is continuing its heavy investment programme in Paris, with the hire of a corporate partner from Herbert Smith.
Sylvie Dariosecq has been a partner at Herbert Smith’s Paris office for five years. She will share responsibility for the development of Eversheds’ corporate department in Paris with Pascal de Moidrey, who joined on 1 September from Paris firm Latournerie Wolfrom & Associés.
Other recent hires include partner Kristine Karsten who joined from former Andersen Legal firm Archibald with three associates from her real estate and finance team. Prior to Herbert Smith, Dariosecq was also with Archibald.
Dariosecq specialises in domestic and international M&A transactions, corporate restructurings and joint ventures. She will have particular responsibility for deals carried out by Eversheds' French and international clients.
Martin Issitt, Eversheds' head of corporate, said: "The Paris team is a key part of our international strategy. The hire of Sylvie, on top of the earlier arrivals of Pascal de Moidrey and Kristine Karsten, demonstrates the strength of our French practice".
Dariosecq added: "I felt really attracted by the philosophy of Eversheds which values long-term relationships and is totally committed to client care; Eversheds' office in Paris is growing significantly and the corporate team is able to offer first class expertise to its French and international clients."
