Eversheds has scooped arbitration specialist Stewart Shackleton from Baker & McKenzie. Shackletons move comes just over a year after Baker & McKenzie hired him from Simmons & Simmons, where he was head of public international law. Eversheds said Shackleton would be bringing his entire practice with him. This includes acting for French, Belgian, Spanish, Swiss and UK companies in six investment dispute arbitrations proceeding against states, as well as arbitration proceedings against states under the rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law. Shackleton will split his time between Eversheds London and Paris offices.
