Eversheds' perfect pitch wins firm TfL panel appointment" />Eversheds has won a place on another high-profile panel, having been gifted the mandate for all of Transport for London's (TfL) mainstream work.
The firm, which has already scooped roles acting for Samsung on all of its European legal requirements, as well as for Akzo Nobel and Tyco, has been handed the TfL contract for four years.
Although Eversheds has acted for TfL for the past three years, it was asked to tender for the position as part of a process that saw the company establish its first-ever panel for major projects work.
Cornelius Medvei, senior office partner at Eversheds, said the tender process for the mainstream work started in June, while firms that are listed on the wider panel were asked to pitch back in February.
Speaking about the firm's relationship with TfL, Medvei said: "For us it's about a very deep and strong relationship that we've invested a lot of time and energy into. TfL is a good client to work for because it's very straight when things are going well and when they're going badly."
In the past TfL has turned to a small group of firms for specific projects work. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer was instructed on the transfer of the North London Railway, for example.
