Eversheds has won its first major instruction from MyTravel (formerly Airtours)
The company is instructing Jason Austin, the partner who heads up the IT department in Manchester, to advise on mainstream IT procurement. MyTravel's main corporate adviser is Addleshaw Booth & Co, although Eversheds has in the past been instructed for some minor commercial advice. But this is the first time it has won any work on a grand scale from the company. "This is a very significant win for us," said Michael Arnold, Eversheds national head of IT and ecommerce. The firm would not comment on how Eversheds won the work, but one source said that it was purely because of the reputation of Austin, who only moved to the firm from Garretts last year.
