Stoke-on-Trent firm Heatons has won Yorkshire Bank as a new client. The win follows the appointment of Eversheds’ Manchester and Leeds property finance head Nick Trowell.
Commenting on his move, Trowell said: “I decided to move to a smaller firm in order to get away from the politics of a large firm and to make more money.”
Trowell, who will head up Heatons’ property finance team in Manchester, also brought Eversheds’ senior associate Gisella Aliberci with him.
Their move leaves Eversheds’ Manchester and Leeds property finance practice depleted. However, the national firm is still receiving instructions from Yorkshire Bank via another relationship partner.
Heatons is a nine partner firm focused on corporate and commercial work.
