Eversheds’ Copenhagen office has been hit by further senior partner departures after the hire of Sam Jalaei by Danish firm Lett.
Jalaei will join Lett in January with two associates and one member of support staff, rejoining the firm less than three years after jumping ship for Eversheds in May 2008.
He leaves Eversheds just months after being named co-senior office partner, alongside Nikolaj Juhl Hansen.
The appointment was made following the resignation of senior partner Troels Askerud in October. It is not yet known where Askerud has gone.
Jalaei practises corporate and commercial law, with particular experience in the Middle East.
In a statement an Eversheds spokesperson said: “Although this is a minor setback plans are already in train to replace this resource. We and the local team remain committed to the future development of Copenhagen and some significant hires have recently been secured, details of which will be released in due course.”
Lett is one of Denmark’s biggest law firms with 165 lawyers, including 46 partners. It has offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Kolding.
