Second-tier Dublin firm Eugene F Collins has taken over commercial property and finance boutique GD Fottrell & Sons.
Nine-partner Eugene F Collins is strongest in corporate, insolvency, IT and intellectual property law, and the addition of GD Fottrell's practice will significantly strengthen the firm's finance and property departments.
Two GD Fottrell lawyers - John Territ and Sean Twomey - join as partners while a third, Tony Twomey, joins as a consultant. Two further GD Fottrell lawyers will also move over to Eugene F Collins as associates.
Eugene F Collins' top clients include Anglo Irish Bank, which the firm is advising in relation to the funding of Arnotts' takeover of Nesbitt, and Enterprise Oil. GD Fottrell advises domestic clients including construction companies Pierse Contracting and McInerney Construction.
Eugene F Collins' managing partner David Cantrell said: "Together with our new colleagues from GD Fottrell & Sons, we will offer an unparalleled expertise in commercial property and commercial lending transactions. The commercial property sector is a continuing growth area."
