Should lawyers learn ethics? is the question asked this week at a workshop by the University of Central Lancashire, Preston. Organised by the university's Centre for Professional Ethics and The Association of Legal and Social Philosophy, it will consider ethics in legal education and the profession. Jane Pritchard, solicitor and researcher at the centre, says the event was prompted by rising complaints against the legal profession and will produce recommendations for the Lord Chancellor's review of legal education.
