OXFORD professor Dan Prentice has joined leading company law set Erskine Chambers.
Professor Prentice, a Fellow of Pembroke College, is the first academic to join the chambers. He will keep his position at the college while accepting instructions through chambers in company law matters.
Prentice will also continue in his role as editor of Butterworths Company Law Cases, and joint editor of Buckley on the Companies Acts. This move will widen his expertise on a more practical level.
Richard Sikes QC, head of the chambers, which now has six silks and 13 junior barristers, says: "We are delighted that Dan Prentice, who holds a position of great eminence in academic circles as a company and insolvency lawyer and is already well-known to practitioners through his membership of the Law Society Company Law Committee and other links, has joined us. He will strengthen our team."
