This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
US firm Epstein Becker & Green has continued its expansion with the hire of two corporate partners in New York, despite the firm facing a lawsuit for almost $4m (£2.3m).
The firm, which ranked 120 in the AmLaw 200 with a turnover of $164m (£92.1m), has hired Sharon Ferko and Scott Drago from Morgan Lewis & Bockius and Bingham McCutchen respectively. The hires follow a spate of appointments this year.
But further growth may be impeded by a lawsuit filed against Epstein for legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty.
Epstein is being sued for more than $3.8m (£2.1m) for failing to warn clients OFS Fitel and OFS BrightWave of the legal risks of its employee benefits arrangement, which allowed younger workers to receive a more generous severance package than their older colleagues.
