World-wide employment alliance ius laboris has signed up Czech firm Prochazka Randl Kubr just in time for last week’s enlargement of the European Union (EU).
The Czech Republic is the second of the new EU member states to join ius laboris, after Polish practice Soltysinski Kawecki & Szlezak was added last year.
Prochazka’s head of employment Natasa Randlova said EU accession had had a significant impact on employment law in the region, with changes aimed at harmonisation with EU legislation.
"Along with legal advice clients also require business advice as to what constitutes normal corporate practice in the EU," Randlova said.
The alliance, which now has 22 member firms, has been taking steps to strengthen its position in the region. It will hold its annual congress this year in Budapest to focus on the impact of EU enlargement on employment law and HR issues.
