Edwards Wildman is an ambitious international commercial law firm growing in strength and capability. We are delighted to have been placed third in The Lawyer magazine’s 2012 International Law Firm of the Year award.

We have lawyers in 30 practice groups across the UK, US and Hong Kong who work together to offer a broad range of legal services to clients worldwide. The firm’s clients range from the largest international businesses, governments and financial institutions, to high-profile individuals

In London our key strengths are in private equity, venture capital, corporate and finance transactions, complex litigation and disputes, insurance and reinsurance and intellectual property. We also have a number of specialisms within these areas.

As a trainee at our firm you will be exposed to plenty of exciting and challenging work on a wide variety of commercial transactions and disputes. Trainees spend six months in four different practice areas and may also have an opportunity to spend time on secondment to a client. We believe trainees learn best by doing, learning from their supervisors, partners and those they work alongside, together with more formal training. Many of our partners are leading lawyers within their fi elds.

We look for trainees from law and non-law degrees and who come from a variety of backgrounds. We also look for people with lots of motivation, determination and drive. Trainees need to be academically strong and enjoy using their analytical skills to help solve complex issues. Trainees also need to work well in teams and be committed to achieving rigorous standards in the work they produce.
