Briefings & More
Edwards Wildman Palmer posted global revenues of $352.6m in 2011. Just over $40m of that figure came from the firm’s London office, which is staffed by 28 partners and placed the firm at position 28 in The Lawyer’s ranking of the Top 30 International firms in London by turnover.
In January 2013 the firm obtained approval to fully integrate its associated Hong Kong firm Lister Lo Lui & Choy and added local litigation capability by hiring partner John Yiu from Hong Kong firm ONC Lawyers.
Edwards Wildman established a presence in Hong Kong in 2006 and previously operated through an association with Lister Lo Lui & Choy. After gaining approval from the Hong Kong Law Society, the Hong Kong associated firm changed its name to Edwards Wildman Palmer on 1 January 2013 and has been fully integrated into the firm’s international network. The changes permit the US firm to provide Hong Kong legal advice under its own brand.
Corporate partner John Lo, who joined the firm from King & Wood’s Hong Kong office in 2011, serves as the partner-in-charge of the office.
Legacy firms Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge and 150-lawyer Chicago firm Wildman Harrold Allen & Dixon merged in 2011 to form Edwards Wildman Palmer.
