The waiting is over. The December issue of Lawyer 2B magazine is now out so go and grab a copy from your careers library or law faculty. As always its packed with news and features to help you keep on top of all things legal.
In the lead feature, which for the sake of ease is also attached to this weeks newsletter, we take a closer look at corporate social responsibility and the increasing role its playing in law firm recruitment campaigns (see story). We also have a special report on student finance and where to look for alternative sources of funding to pay for the LPC and/or the GDL if you fail to secure law firm sponsorship.
The law section meanwhile includes a great piece written by a CMS Cameron McKenna trainee on the Ferrari/McLaren spygate affair.
And for our more mature readers we suggest you take a look at Kian Ganzs article about entering the legal profession at a later stage in your life. Kian catches up with a number of older trainees who share their experiences of competing for training contracts against fresh faced 21-year old Oxbridge graduates.
Finally, its not too late to enter the Lawyer 2B/BPP Law School essay competition. The prizes are a free place on either BPPs GDL or LPC courses. So with the end of term now just days away why not spend your Christmas break doing something to enhance your career? For more details on how to enter the essay competition click here.
Happy reading.
