EAD turned over £8.9m in 2011–12, showing flat revenue growth on the previous year’s results. Revenue per lawyer dropped slightly, from £198,000 in 2010–11 to £185,000 in 2011–12, while revenue per partner stood at £445,000.

The Liverpool-based firm, which was founded in 1974, has 20 partners, around half of whom are equity. There are 59 fee earners with 48 qualified lawyers.

EAD’s practice covers a broad range of professional negligence, personal injury and commercial litigation, with disputes work contributing around a third of total revenue.

Other areas of the firm’s strengths include employment and acting for claimants in clinical negligence cases, as well as property.

Clients include trade unions, organisations and individuals.
