The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Taylor Joynson Garrett has expanded its private client department on the back of the boom in electronic commerce and the new economy.
Mark Buzzoni joins the firm as a partner, leaving Alexanders, the trust and litigation specialist based in Temple.
TJG managing partner Declan Tarpey says the appointment reflects the amount of wealth created by the electronic economy.
"We are seeing increasing synergies between our corporate and IT departments and our private client base," he says. "Unlike most City firms, we have continued to provide bespoke client services, which is now paying dividends."
Buzzoni's move is a coup for TJG, which has been building a leading private client practice under the stewardship of Michael Stanford-Tuck. Last month, the firm poached senior e-commerce and internet lawyer Joe Coffey from Arnheim Tite & Lewis.
TJG's private client dep-artment comprises 20 lawyers and accounts for more than 8 per cent of turnover.
Stanford-Tuck says: "Mark is joining us at a time of sustained growth for TJG. The growth in demand for leading edge international trust and tax planning advice has mirrored the tremendous growth in the rest of the firm.
"The internet and IP-rich technology sectors, which are keeping the M&A teams busy, are run by successful high net worth individuals who need and respond to our private client service."
