Denton Wilde Sapte (DWS) and White & Case have won lead roles advising on a groundbreaking African infrastructure deal.
DWS, led by capital markets partner Richard Macklin, advised West Indian Ocean Cable Company on its $75m (£36.38m) funding of the Eastern Africa sub-sea cable infrastructure project, which involves 22 regional telecoms operators.
White & Case, led by Victor DeSantis in Washington DC and former New York-based partner Villiers Terblanche, advised the underwriting banks.
The deal comes after DWS hiked its capabilities in infrastructure and projects with new offices in Rwanda and Algeria (The Lawyer, 12 November).
