Denton Wilde Sapte (DWS) has continued its French growth with the hire of an in-house lawyer to head its Paris telecoms team.
Emmanuel Sordet joins the firm's Paris office as a partner from T-Online France, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, where he was responsible for legal issues concerning new media, telecommunications, competition and distribution.
He was previously general counsel of Lagardère Active Broadband, the multimedia arm of Lagardère. Sordet becomes the eleventh partner in DWS's French arm. He will work alongside Paris IP and technology, media and telecoms head Stefan Naumann.
The hire follows the news in July 2006 that DWS was forming an alliance with restructuring firm Poulain & Associés.
