DWS Gulf energy head quits for Baker Botts Dubai role

Denton Wilde Sapte (DWS) head of energy and projects for the Gulf region has left the firm to join Baker Botts in its Dubai office.

Sean Korney, who moved to the DWS Dubai office two years ago from Singapore, was part of the nine-strong energy and projects team.

DWS Dubai managing partner Neil Cuthbert said: “As well as the team in Dubai we have six people in Oman and three in Abu Dhabi. We have a strong team and are confident about our strengths here.”

US firm Baker Botts has offices in Riyadh and Dubai.

DWS has also launched in Saudi Arabia through an association with local lawyer Wael Abdulrahman Alissa. It hired Fulbright & Jaworski associate Amgad Husein as a partner to lead the new venture.
