This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Northwest firm DWF has reported a 10.6 per cent rise in turnover, hitting £55.3m this year for 2007-08 after £50m the year before.
As well as growing turnover, the firm has also grown its lawyer numbers in 2007-08 via an aggressive hiring spree, which included litigation partner Joel Heap and banking lawyer Graham Hall from Cobbetts (The Lawyer, 25 February 2008), as well as DLA Piper litigator James Haddleton (The Lawyer, 28 January 2008).
The firm’s family group saw particular growth, including a raft of family lawyers from local firms and Cobbetts’ entire family team (The Lawyer, 14 December 2007).
