DWF has hired a litigation partner from Brabners Chaffe Street after losing three Ricksons partners since the two firms’ merger earlier this year.
Environmental litigation specialist Amanda Webster has joined the Manchester office of DWF as a partner.
Webster joins from Brabner’s Preston office, where she was a partner.
She told The Lawyer: “I decided that DWF was a firm that I wanted to be a part of. I don’t see the departure of individuals post-merger as a negative event.
“Whenever a merger of this size happens there will be a degree of shake-up. We’ve inherited a great Ricksons team.”
DWF managing partner Andrew Leaitherland told The Lawyer: “We’re going to build the team we have with the right people and will try to ensure that all geographical bases will get the right investment.”
