DWF figures go through the roof

The firm announced a turnover of £18.6m, compared with £13m as reported by The Lawyer 100 Survey for the year ending May 2000.
Corporate finance and human resources were the most profitable
departments, with human resources also taking the mantle of highest growth department. That department does provide legal services, but has recently started to offer an executive resourcing division to source business executives for corporates (The Lawyer, 25 June 2000).
The strong increase in turnover can be attributed to departmental profit growth across the board, according to the business development partner Nigel Williams. "Last year we practised a 'menu' concept of business development, promoting all our departments, products and services to clients," he said. "As a result, the majority of clients used more of our services, and turnover increased accordingly."
