Netherlands firm Houthoff Buruma has elected corporate partner Walter van Overbeek to the role of co-managing partner.
Van Overbeek succeeds Philippe Creijghton, who stepped down on 1 January after two terms in office.
The election follows Johan Rijlaarsdam’s appointment as co-managing partner in April last year (1 April 2011), replacing Eddie Meijer.
Creijghton is returning to full-time fee-earning in the firm’s litigation practice.
Van Overbeek’s practice focuses on manufacturing and distribution, particularly in the automotive sector. He heads Houthoff Buruma’s automotive industry group.
