Dundas & Wilson has swooped on Herbert Smith, hiring the firm’s head of property litigation Martin Thomas.
Thomas, a solicitor-advocate, will join the Sottish-headquartered firm as a London-based partner in its litigation practice in April 2007. His appointment takes the number of D&W fee earners in London to above 90.
Dundas managing partner Donald Shaw Thomas’ expertise as a property litigator was widely recognised in the market. “His aspirations fit perfectly with those of our practice,” added Shaw.
Thomas will look to help Dundas continue to develop its litigation team, which also works with Dundas' corporate, projects, construction and corporate recovery groups, in London.
