Dundas aids Scottish Radio on Irish move

Andersen Legal member Dundas & Wilson has advised Scottish Radio Holdings (SRH) on its £36m bid for Radio Ireland, the country's largest commercial radio station.
The Dundas & Wilson team, led by corporate partner Graham Sibbalt, included head of corporate David Hardie and infrastructure partner David McGowan. The firm instructed Ken Casey of leading Dublin firm William Fry on Irish law.
SRH already held 24 per cent of Radio Ireland, but until recently SRH's interests in Irish print media prevented it from buying up more of the radio station. However, the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland has just relaxed its cross-media ownership rules, opening the way for SRH to expand its holdings.
SRH tendered for the work and Dundas & Wilson pitched against a number of top Scottish firms, including McGrigor Donald.
