Dressing at Hamilton's

Sarah Reade is an assistant solicitor in theintellectual property department at Theodore Goddard. She took some time out to try on a selection of the latest shirt designs at Madeleine Hamilton's.

“I don't normally wear shirts, although I have always liked them, ” she says. “Usually I wear bodies because they need minimum maintenance, especially no ironing. I normally buy suits from Karen Millen, and the bodies can be bought from everywhere.

“Some of Madeleine's shirts are particularly smart and certainly not boring, and there is great attention paid to the little details like the buttons and cufflinks.

“Usually I don't wear patterns, and tend to stick to plain colours and I'm quite a fan of white, and some of her designs are quite unusual.

“This has been a good introduction to what's available, including the 'fun' shirts.

“They are definitely work shirts – not blouses – the equivalent of men's shirts for women with the feminine touch.”
