No5 Chambers has announced that Dr Fayyaz Afzal OBE has been appointed as Recorder in the Northern Circuit.
Dr Fayyaz Afzal OBE was called to the bar in 1999 and is part of the Crime, Family, Immigration, Asylum & Nationality, Regulatory & Licensing groups at No5 Chambers.
The Queen has appointed 99 Recorders on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd. This appointment took effect as of Monday 11 January 2016.
