  • Ludovic Kennedy criticised a number of judges in his memoir "On my way to the Club" without any suggestion of proceedings of this nature following. I suppose it depends on whether Mr. Hain's comments are restrained to that which might be legitimate.

  • Nothing unusual in this story. The Northern Ireland Judiciary is corupt. Everyone knows this but are not allowed to state it. If Peter Hain wants justice he will have to appeal to the Supreme Court. This is what everyone else in Northern Ireland has to do to obtain justice.

  • Exactly how many copies of Peter Hain's memoirs have been sold in Northern ireland? More than six? Possibly as many as ten?
Only by launching these contempt proceedings has anyone the slightest idea what was said. Is the AG of NI also moonlighting as Peter Hain's publicist, by any chance?
