Dorsey links with high-tech specialists Flehr Hohbach

The combined firm will operate under the Dorsey name and takes the total number of IP practitioners to 150.
Ian Craig, head of IP at Dorsey's London office, said: "Dorsey & Whitney already has offices through the US, but we feel that it's important to provide clients with on-the-ground resource and expertise in Northern California."
He added: "Our UK/EU clients, and in particular ones in high-tech businesses, have an interest in Silicon Valley. This is the case even after the downturn in some areas of high-tech business. This expansion shows that Dorsey & Whitney continues to take the high-tech market seriously."
IP became a growth practice in London when Craig's team from Hewitson Becke + Shaw joined Dorsey last year. The London office's strategy is to focus on UK biotech and high-tech clients and servicing similar US clients with interests in Europe.
