This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
The Lawyer recently honoured the British Energy Group company secretary and general counsel at its annual awards bash (not that you need reminding, but The Lawyer Awards is THE premier event in the global legal calendar bar none), as the magazine's In-house Lawyer of the Year.
So, scribes were understandably panic-stricken last week when, on contacting the company to catch up with Mr Armour, they were told by receptionists that he "had not worked at British Energy for three years". So, who is this man, seen here collecting his prestigious award at The Grosvenor House Hotel in June? And if not Armour, then who has been responsible for the last two and a half years for handling one of the largest and most complex restructurings in UK corporate history?
The receptionist threw further confusion on the situation by suggesting that perhaps Armour was going by another name. Tulkinghorn is, frankly, baffled.
