Manchester personal injury firm Donns Solicitors has won a multi-million pound contract for one of the UK's leading insurance brokers.
The work for Bennetts is worth £2.7m annually and involves dealing with over 13,000 insurance claims a year.
National firm Shoosmiths had previously held the contract for the insurer's personal injury work, which accounts for a third of the new contract. The remaining uninsured loss recovery work had been done in-house at Bennetts.
Corporate director of Bennetts Paul Dodds says: "We decided to outsource this work and Donns offered the competitive edge as one of the country's top personal injury firms.
"They can dedicate their expertise to handling claims, enabling us to concentrate on enhancing service levels to our customers."
As The Lawyer revealed last week, Donns is looking for merger partners and has expanded into new offices because of its increased volume of work.
Donns senior partner Raymond Donn says: "Our successful tender for this contract is a big win for us, and will have a significant impact in terms of our expansion plans."
