This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
South-East firm DMH has secured a London merger, after signing a deal with 15-partner Stallard Solicitors.
The merger creates a 47-partner firm with an estimated turnover of £21m. It will practice as DMH Stallard with Tim Aspinall, DMH managing partner, to lead the newly merged outfit.
The tie-in continues DMH’s period of aggressive expansion, which has seen the firm transform itself from a leading high street outfit with a significant private client offering, to a broad-based commercial practice. Last year the firm made its first appearance in The Lawyer UK 100 Annual Report, on the back of a £15.2m turnover in 2003-2004.
Since 1999, the firm has also embarked on a wave of cost-cutting measures that have resulted in the closure of four offices.
The new firm will operate from offices in Brighton, Crawley/Gatwick and London.
