DMH beats competition to TM Retail contract

DMH has scooped a national contract to advise TM Retail on the sale of 50 of its retail businesses. The regional firm’s 39-strong property department beat competition from two other firms, Brabners Chaffe Street and EDC Lord & Co, to win the work for the retailer, which owns the McColls, Forbuoys and Martins facias. Head of commercial property Marion Willcock said there was no open beauty parade; instead, TM Retail asked its existing advisers to pitch for the work, which includes providing employment advice. DMH has advised TM Retail for more than a decade.
