DLA Weiss-Tessbach bags partner duo from rival

DLA Weiss-Tessbach in Vienna has raided Austrian rival Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati for two partners. Claudine Vartian and Oskar Winkler joined earlier this month. Vartian is an antitrust and competition lawyer with expertise in telecoms, while Winkler is an insurance specialist. The Austrian firm became a part of DLA through a 2003 merger. It gave the UK firm a huge foothold in Central and Eastern Europe through its offices in Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, Salzburg, Sarajevo, Vienna and Zagreb.
