DLA ushered into Doha by US Defence Sec

DLA Piper launched its fledgling Doha office last week with a speech by former US Defence Secretary William Cohen.

Cohen told guests at the ­opening of the Qatar branch that it would “serve as a bridge between Doha and the world”.

DLA Piper joins Latham & Watkins and Simmons & Simmons as international firms with presences in Qatar. Earlier this month DLA Piper announced a joint venture with Kuwait’s largest law firm, Al Wagayan Al Awadhi & Al Saif.
