As its European invasion continues, DLA has hired Linklaters’ former Spanish head of employment Luis Peinado.
Peinado, a managing associate, was head of employment at Linklaters until 15 December when he left the magic circle firm. Prior to his three years at Linklaters he practised at Baker & McKenzie.
He has advised both national and international companies in Spain. He recently advised HSBC on the restructuring and downsizing of its commercial and investment branches in Spain.
Peinado joined DLA at the end of last month to head DLA’s Spanish employment team. The firm had an existing capability in the area before his arrival.
Linklaters managing associate Naiara Rodríguez-Escudero took over as head of employment at the magic circle firm’s Spanish office in December. The firm is also recruiting further staff to the employment team in Madrid.
