Shepherd FM has further enhanced its reputation in the professional services sector with the award of a £4m, five year contract for M&E and maintenance services from DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms.
Shepherd FM, part of the Shepherd Group, won the contract worth in excess of £4 million over the five year term in a procurement process involving eight major facilities management providers.
Shepherd FM now has a series of contracts delivering business critical services to the legal sector and as such has created a division devoted to this sector. This has been launched with immediate effect.
From 1st September Shepherd FM has been providing critical maintenance services across DLA Piper’s UK office portfolio, which includes sites in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.
Shepherd FM were selected due to their strong technical strengths coupled with a track record of providing a 5 star customer experience to their portfolio of clients.
There was a 12 week mobilisation period that was completed on time and according to Neil Marley, Head of Safety, Quality and Environment for Shepherd FM went according to plan and without hitch. He said that this was in the main due to the collaborative approach that both businesses took and the support and cooperation from DLA Piper in assisting all the surveys and due diligence. He also said that the relationship that had evolved during the tendering process contributed enormously to the smooth mobilisation.
Noel Clancy, Shepherd FM’s Chief Executive, said:
“This is a fantastic name to add to our already impressive portfolio, in what remains a highly competitive marketplace. It puts a marker down to our competitors and again proves Shepherd FM has the expertise and right approach to service demanding blue chips.
