DLA Piper has boosted its litigation strength with the addition of a partner in Washington DC.
Former US Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney Peter Zeidenberg has joined the firm's US litigation and regulatory practice. During his time at the DOJ, Zeidenberg served as a trial attorney in the public integrity section of the criminal division, investigating and prosecuting local, state and federal public officials.
Francis Burch, DLA Piper's Baltimore-based joint CEO, said Zeidenberg's experience will add depth to the firm's litigation practice, adding that his investigative and prosecutorial skills will be a strong resource for clients.
During his time at the DOJ, Zeidenberg was a deputy special counsel involved in the investigation and prosecution of Lewis ‘Scooter’ Libby, a former assistant to George W Bush and chief of staff to Dick Cheney who resigned from government after being indicted on five counts of felony.
