DLA Piper has boosted its Paris arm with the hire of a three-partner team from Proskauer Rose, taking seven lawyers in total.
The departures from Proskauaer come just four months after the firm merged with Parisian private equity boutique SGDM, which gave the office a total of 15 partners.
Litigation partners Emmanuelle Payrau-Sorba and Jean-Philippe Sorba join senior tax partner Jean-Luc Cuadrado in the move to DLA. Competition associate Marie Hindré-Guéguen joins DLA as partner.
Cuadrado will step into a senior role at DLA, becoming a member of the firm's strategy committee in Paris. He will work alongside France managing partner Bruce Mee and strategic projects director Steven De Keyser.
Mee said: "One of the primary objectives of DLA Piper in Paris is to strengthen the existing practice groups and build the depth of our expertise to enable us to better respond to our clients."
DLA has been building up in Paris. In November the firm hired banking and finance partners Veronique Collin and Clotilde Dirnat from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Herbert Smith respectively.
