DLA Piper Oslo office nets double GC haul

DLA Piper has boosted its Oslo office with the hire of two general counsel.

Fredrik Lykke, general counsel at Norwegian telecoms company Telenor, joins as a corporate partner, while Hans Christian Brodtkorb joins as a partner in the real estate and construction group from NCC Construction.

Brodtkorb said DLA Piper's Oslo office would expand further due to the shear amount of work. "We'll definitely grow in the real estate and construction department. There's far too much work for the lawyers here," he said.

Lykke's practice will focus on M&A deals, international joint ventures and capital markets work in the telecoms industry, whereas Brodtkorb is a specialist in real estate development and PPP projects.

Brodtkorb said: "I set up the legal department at NCC three years ago. Now it's up and running I wanted a new challenge."
