Stephen Malley and Jonathan Northey will join DLA Piper as the latest lateral partner hires into the firm’s real-estate group. They both join the firm from RPC. Their arrival at the firm follows the recent hire of Richard Hopkinson-Woolley, Laurence Rogers and Neville Wright from BLP.
Malley is a non-contentious construction lawyer whose practice focuses on development and development finance work. He was head of the non-contentious construction and projects team at RPC, leading on various projects including the £600m Francis Crick Institute and £200m East Road redevelopment.
Northey, who was a property development senior associate at RPC, specialises in mixed-use and residential projects, and recently advised the developer on the £250m Greenwich Square scheme, the first London project under the government’s public land initiative.
In addition to Malley and Northey, senior associates Peter Lowe and Gareth Williams will join DLA Piper’s real-estate team in London from RPC.
Other recent hires include Mark Shepherd from King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin and Will Deeprose from BLP, both joining as legal directors. Joshua Warner and Joshua Pendergast join as associates from EMW and Pinsent Masons respectively.
