DLA Piper is set to double the number of international secondments available to trainees barely three months after starting its overseas programme.
The number of trainees going abroad has doubled from 14 to 28. DLA Piper started the international programme in September 2007, offering places at the firms offices in Hong Kong, Moscow, Singapore and Dubai.
All the secondments will last for three months, except those in the Dubai office, which will be six-month seats. The trainees will handle international corporate and finance work.
DLA Piper head of graduate recruitment Sally Carthy said: This increase is as a result of DLA Pipers commitment to improving opportunities for its trainees and strengthening the ties between its offices globally.
She added: It is a great time to be joining DLA Piper as a trainee as the firms international capabilities are offering excellent opportunities both with work in the UK offices and experiences abroad.
DLA Piper has 64 offices in 25 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and US.
