DLA Piper brings in new face for Emea push

DLA Piper is pushing its new trade group across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea) with a lateral hire from UK lobbying group the UK Food and Drink Federation. Sarah Salmond will join as a senior consultant, the second senior lateral hire the team has made in six months from outside private practice. Last September DLA Piper created its first trade capability outside the US by hiring team head Miriam Gonzalez, the European Commission's top trade negotiator with the World Trade Organisation.
