DLA Piper, Eversheds and Shoosmiths are among a roster of firms appointed to information management company Iron Mountain’s European advisory panel.
The company launched a panel review six months ago in an effort to streamline its legal spend.
Iron Mountain UK director of legal Chris Thomas, who was part of the team that put the panel together, said: “It’s about ensuring we have the right advice being provided by the right lawyers in a cost effective way.”
Joining the UK firms on the panel are Belgium’s Lorenz Law; Germany’s Schmalz Rechtsanwalte, France’s Berthet Husson Associes, the Netherlands’ Boekel De Neree and Benelux leader De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.
US firms Squire Sanders Hammonds and Weil Gotshal & Manges also won spots.
Thomas said it was a generalist panel and the company had not yet decided how long the agreement for each firm would last.
“We need to get to know our panel so we’ll be reviewing on a sensible timeline,” he said.
